CNC Operator
Experience: 0-1 year
Qualification: CNC/VMC, Diploma
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Ensuring the CNC/VMC machine is set up correctly for the specific job or task, including loading the necessary tools and materials.
- Programming: Loading and running pre-written programs or writing new programs for the CNC/VMC machine to perform various machining operations such as drilling, milling, cutting, and shaping.
- Machine Operation: Operating the CNC/VMC machine during the manufacturing process, monitoring the machining operations, and making adjustments as needed to ensure the quality and accuracy of the finished parts.
- Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards, making adjustments to the machine settings as necessary to correct any deviations.
- Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks on the CNC/VMC machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and troubleshooting any issues or problems with the CNC/VMC machine, such as tool wear, programming errors, or mechanical malfunctions, and taking corrective action to resolve them.
- Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures when operating the machine.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
- Ability to write, edits, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
- Understanding of CNC machining principles and processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and
technical specifications. - Proficiency in operating VMC CNC machines, including starting, stopping, and monitoring machining processes.
